Atomic Museum to Host Virtual Testimony of Hiroshima Survivor in Partnership with Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

The Atomic Museum is proud to announce an upcoming virtual event featuring the moving personal testimony of a Hiroshima bombing survivor. Presented in collaboration with the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, the event will take place on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. (PDT) via Zoom.

The program will be moderated by Matt Malinowski, director of education at the Atomic Museum. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear firsthand reflections from a survivor and participate in a live Q&A session via the Zoom chat feature.

“We are honored to host this survivor testimony and provide the community with an opportunity to hear powerful personal stories connected to this critical moment in history,” said Malinowski. “These accounts offer profound insight into the human impact of nuclear events and the importance of preserving these narratives.”

The event is free to attend, but registration is required. To RSVP, click here.

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum was opened in August 1955 to inform people of all nations of the actual damage caused by the atomic bomb, and to contribute to the abolition of nuclear weapons, as well as the realization of lasting world peace.
